Revival of Melee was a Super Smash Bros. Melee national tournament held by Alukard in Nanuet, New York, from March 7th-8th, 2009. It was the inaugural tournament of the Revival of Melee series.
This tournament was the first major gathering of the best Melee players in North America since Super Smash Bros. Brawl's release a year earlier. The tournament is also known for the fourth game of the losers' finals set between Mew2King and DaShizWiz, which is regarded as one of the greatest recorded Melee matches of all time because of M2K's impeccable 3-1 comeback coupled with the reaction of the announcer. The video of the match has attracted over 1,000,000 views on YouTube since it was uploaded.
