Antimony is a Super Smash Bros. Ultimate Steve player from Massachusetts and is known for finding opportunities to maximize his advantage state, often resulting in the loss of his opponent's stock.
He has a clear understanding of the game as well as of his characters and is incredibly passionate about smash.
Originally a Peach main in ultimate, he benched her for Steve after the character joined the roster, putting all of his efforts into Steve throughout the COVID-induced quarantine. He soon bore the fruits of his labor and started placing very high at regionals and locals. Antimony then picked up Kazuya as he enjoyed playing him. According to Antimony, Kazuya also fared well against some of Steve's unfavorable match-ups.
He grew exponentially owing to his commitment and earned 9th place in the MA Summer'22 PR. He further grew in popularity after upsetting Light at Shine'22 pre-local.
Towards the end of 2022, the smash community became divided on whether to ban players from playing Steve in competitive events- this conversation spread to NE (New England) as well, where some tournaments allowed the game and its players to progress without restrictions and others placed a temporary ban of Steve. Antimony currently plays Steve when he gets the opportunity to, and plays Kazuya and his old main, Peach, where Steve is not allowed.
Despite the ban, Antimony continues to place well at the events he attends. Aside from his skill in SSBU, Antimony is well known for his light and positive attitude towards others.
A running joke about him is that even though he wins money from tournaments regularly, he does not like receiving it; a simple play on his tag.
