The Move List is a feature in Super Smash Bros. Ultimate that shows the player the special moves and Final Smashes of every playable character. It is accessible from the Help menu in the Dashboard, the pause menu, and Training Mode. A list of all available characters can be displayed with the X button; any characters currently in the match will be highlighted.
In addition to special moves, the following characters also have extra sections either detailing a fighter ability, or further explaining a complex or multi-step special move.
- Kirby: Inhale
- Wario: Wario Bike
- Olimar: Pikmin
- Lucario: Aura
- Villager: Timber
- Rosalina & Luma: Luma's characteristics
- Little Mac: Power Meter and KO Uppercut
- Pac-Man: Bonus Fruit
- Robin: Tome and Levin Sword Durability
- Shulk: Monado Arts
- Ryu: Input commands and tapped/held attacks
- Ken: Input commands and tapped/held attacks
- Cloud: Limit Gauge
- Inkling: Ink
- Joker: Rebellion Gauge
- Hero: MP Gauge and Command Selection
- Terry: Input commands and Super Special Moves
- Min Min: Punch and characteristics of ARMS Change weapons
- Steve: Mine / Craft / Create Block
- Sephiroth: Winged Form
- Pyra: Flare Smash
- Mythra: Foresight
- Kazuya: Rage / Rage Drive and Input Commands
- Sora: Firaga/Thundaga/Blizzaga and Combo Attacks
By default, the entries for Mii Brawler, Mii Swordfighter and Mii Gunner will have their default special moves displayed in the Move List, with their names preceded by a "1". If a Mii Fighter is present in a match, their selected special moves will be displayed instead, indicated with the corresponding number (if multiple Mii Fighters of the same type are present, only the one with the lowest port will have its special moves displayed).

Trivia
- Yoshi's Final Smash is referred to as Stampede! in the Move List, but as Yoshi Stampede in the tips.
- Similar move lists appeared in the instruction manuals and Prima strategy guides for Melee, Brawl and Smash 4. The instruction manual for Smash 64 also had a move list, though it did not include descriptions or images.
- Moves that involve grabbing/trapping a character or involve being attacked to activate are shown being used on Mario, but silhouetted black to keep the focus on the listed fighter. This was also the case in Smash 4.
