Fusedash is simply a zdrop wavedash/waveland. Waveland right after z-dropping. Although it is very susceptible to ASDI down, and character fall speed dependent, it can allow for a few interesting follow-ups like dsmash or bomb cancel upb.

It is possible to loop this repeatedly, though it is dependent on your opponents DI and character choice. Changing the wavedash by reacting to DI is not possible, so you should wavedash into position based on the opponents potential trajectories. It also only does 1.7% each time, so it’s not important to loop for damage.

It is possible to jab the bomb so it lands on the ground, though the timing and spacing makes it borderline TAS realm.

Notes

  • Dash attack/utilt/ftilt can be used to detonate the bomb which can then be ASDI’d down
  • Zdrop aerial is probably more reliable in most cases
  • Although the frame advantage can be poor in some situations, the bomb detonation can protect you from hard punishes
