Importing Pages
Use Special:Export and Special:Import rather than just copying the text. Make sure to include the page history so that the original authors are given credit.
What To Import
- Import all mainspace pages (this includes smasher pages) and their talk pages (and any such archives).
- Images cannot be imported, but you can re-upload them, saving them to your computer first. If you have the original, even better.
- All templates and categories should be imported.
- Forums should generally not be imported unless they contain important discussion.
- Things in the SmashWiki namespace can wait until it's decided which ones are going to be kept.
- You can either import your user page or make a new one. Your talk page and its archives should be imported, if you decide to keep them.
- Do not import other users' user pages unless they've asked.
- Please refer to the Community Portal for a checklist on what's needed to be imported at the present time.
