Due to the current situation of South America, the tournament will be held online.[1] The sixteen players who qualified through the SWT: South America Ultimate Online Qualifier will be invited to this tournament. The winner of Ultimate will qualify for the Smash World Tour 2021 Finale.
A Melee event was also planned, but it was ultimately cancelled due to the aforementioned situation. Instead, Chape and HP were chosen as the South American "Melee" finalists.
