Savestate, formerly known as McNuggets, is a semi-professional Super Smash Bros. Melee player from North Carolina. They are known as a very style-oriented Link main and is responsible for discovering several of Link's more esoteric techniques such as Bomb Launching, Ghost Arrow, Dimensional Arrow, and Bomb Rocket. Savestate has notably taken sets off of Cob, Tylenol, and Feradit. They are currently ranked 10th on the North Carolina Power Rankings.

Their endeavors in streaming led Savestate to create smash.LIVE as a streaming service for North Carolina, later joining Recursion as a producer and designer.

In February 2018, Savestate successfully broke the 3.55 second 14-year old world record on Link's Target Test stage with a world record of 3.52 IGT. In September 2018, they developed an RNG manipulation program to achieve a world record time of 37.45 IGT in All-Star Very Easy mode, which was beaten later that day by Fuzzyness upon distribution of the program.
