NRG Esports is a professional eSports organization based in Los Angeles, California. The team was founded by Sacramento Kings co-owners Andy Miller and Mark Mastrov in November 2015, with Shaquille O'Neal and Alex Rodriguez joining as investors in March 2016.

NRG Esports would get into the Super Smash Bros. competitive scene by signing Nairo on August 23rd, 2016[1]. Amidst (eventually confirmed) allegations of Nairo having a sexual encounter with a minor, NRG would sever all ties with him on July 2nd, 2020.
