Gameplay modification: Difference between revisions

HDR is a major gameplay overhaul project currently developed by [https://gamebanana.com/members/1694183 black_calculus] and his team. The goal of the pack is not to necessarily replicate or be a "spiritual successor" to ''[[Project M]]'' or ''[[Melee]]'', but to make the game more interesting in a way not bound to the two titles. Despite this, the project has a lot of overlap in mechanics due to having many ''Melee''-exclusive changes such as more useful [[Wavedashing]] and an increased focus on [[DI]] and [[Hitstun]]. There are many changes to the general game outside of just new or modified mechanics, however, like changed [[effect]] aesthetics across the board, and brand-new character specific [[Advanced_technique|tech]]. The latest release can be found on its own [https://gamebanana.com/gamefiles/9949 GameBanana] page and comes with an install of SaltyNX, Skyline and the Ultimate Mod Manager. It has over 3,000 downloads with decent popularity among the modding scene, and can be played via [[Online play]] Battle Arenas if both players have the mod loaded on legitimate copies of the game.
