Gameplay modification: Difference between revisions

HDR is a major gameplay overhaul project currently developed by [https://gamebanana.com/members/1694183 black_calculus] and his team. The goal of the pack is not to necessarily replicate or be a "spiritual successor" to ''[[Project M]]'' or ''[[Melee]]'', but to make the game more interesting in a way not bound to the two titles. Despite this, the project has a lot of overlap in mechanics due to having many ''Melee''-exclusive changes such as more useful [[Wavedashing]] and an increased focus on [[DI]] and [[Hitstun]]. There are many changes to the general game outside of just new or modified mechanics, however, like changed [[effect]] aesthetics across the board, and brand-new character specific [[Advanced_technique|tech]]. The latest release can be found on its own [https://gamebanana.com/gamefiles/9949 GameBanana] page and is installable with SaltyNX alongside the Ultimate Mod Manager. It has over 3,000 downloads with decent popularity among the modding scene, and can be played via [[Online play]] Battle Arenas if both players have the mod loaded on legitimate copies of the game.
