Creature description
Beedrill is a large, hornet-like Pokémon. It is one of the original 151 Pokémon that appeared in Pokémon Red and Blue. According to the Pokédex, using all three stingers to jab at a target repeatedly, it can take down any opponent, then takes its fallen prey back to its nest for food. The stinger on its abdomen secretes the most powerful poison of its three pointed barbs. Its best attack involves flying around at high speed, striking with poison needles, then flying off. No one should ever approach the nest of this extremely territorial specie - if angered, they will attack in a furious swarm.
In Super Smash Bros.
As a Poké Ball Pokémon
Beedrill makes its first appearance and so far only in the Super Smash Bros. series as a Poké Ball Pokémon in Super Smash Bros.. It performs Poison Sting; when Beedrill is summoned, a single Beedrill will fly off the screen. A couple of seconds later, a swarm of Beedrill will be moving horizontally across the screen. Any character that makes contact with Beedrill will take damage, excluding the summoner.
