In a best of 3 wins set it functions the same as regular DSR. In the previous example with Falco and Ike, if Falco wins game 1 on Battlefield, but Ike wins game 2 on Lylat Cruise, the Falco cannot pick Battlefield. If the Falco wins game 3 on Final Destination, the Ike cannot pick Lylat Cruise. If the Ike wins game 4 on Smashville, the Falco can pick Battlefield, but cannot pick Final Destination.
