[[Item]]s and [[Smash attack]]s are helpful for this event. Since this stage is covered with bricks, it will be difficult to make an upward kill. The side of the screen is wide open so using a [[throw]], particularly DK's forward (the carry) or Pikachu's/Pichu's backwards throw is a good strategy. You could also use Mario, Dr. Mario, or Luigi's backwards throw.

Notes

  • There's a very rare case of this event being impossible to win on some copies of the game, even if you get dozens of KOs with a single stock. The reasons for this are unknown as of yet and the only way to fix it seems to transfer a completed save file from another memory card.
