Harassment Allegations & Retirement
On July 10th, a Southern Virginia TO named Winter made an announcement that Squerk would be banned from 4 different Southern Virginia tournaments until January 9, 2020,[1] not citing a direct reason for the ban. In response to the ban, Squerk stated, "I’ll own up to my actions and accept it. I think this ends my smash career though, it was a fun 5 years",[2] alluding to a permanent leave from Competitive Smash.
On July 11th, the Old Dominion University Super Smash Association[3] announced a ban against Squerk of their own for the duration of the Fall 2019 semester due to "consistent toxic behavior over the past months",[4] citing multiple accounts of harassment against several players who frequent the university's tournaments.
