TaleOfTheToaster is a smasher and commentator from the United Kingdom. He specialises in playing Super Smash Bros. Brawl, using Meta Knight to reach the pro bracket of Super Smash Con 2018 and Super Smash Con 2019. TaleOfTheToaster was also an active competitor in Smash 4 without any major success, but later reached the pro bracket for this game at Super Smash Con 2019 using Sonic. TaleOfTheToaster regularly attends Ultimate tournaments to a string of moderate results in his home country, maining R.O.B. since the game's launch.
In Ultimate, TaleOfTheToaster was ranked among the Top 100 players in the United Kingdom during the country's first competitive season, and 21st in the live ranking for his home region in Northern England. By default, he is also the only European player collecting notable results in Brawl tournaments in modern years.
TaleOfTheToaster regularly commentates tournaments within the United Kingdom, as well as overseas events such as Smash @ Xanadu tournaments when travelling to the USA.
TaleOfTheToaster also actively creates content for YouTube to an audience of over 6000 subscribers, focusing on the Inazuma Eleven series and robotic combat, though has previously produced series and videos pertaining to the Smash series. He was also an active SmashWiki editor during the lifespan of Brawl, launching the List of SSBB Music series of articles.

Trivia
- TaleOfTheToaster, as part of a crew with Cagt, aperture, Virum and TheFlow, achieved 5th place in the Smash 4 crew battle at Shine 2017. The all-European team were named "The Tea Party" for this event.
- TaleOfTheToaster kickstarted various actions from within the crowd at Super Smash Con 2018 and 2019, receiving recognition and notoriety online[2][3] for counting the number of Dragon Lunge uses from Cosmos during his Top 8 sets on a whiteboard in 2018, and replicating the victory animation of Joker by running in place behind the commentators following MkLeo set wins in 2019.
- TaleOfTheToaster is somewhat infamous locally for overly relying on Arm Rotor in Ultimate sets, prompting the British scene to nickname the move "The Tragic Roundabout" across the country, in honor of TaleOfTheToaster's own combat robot which attacks by repeatedly spinning.
