pkmvodka is a pro smasher native to St-Jerome, Québec, Canada, is considered one of the top players in Canada. Also known as "pkm" or "vodka", is known to main Captain Falcon, but can also play with any other character and is occasionally referred to as "The Canadian Azen".

History

The Beginning

He first started playing the game the day of it's release. Having played the N64's version a bit with a friend in the past, he was highly awaiting it's sequel so he could own the game and get better on his own. Nothing much happened before 2003, where he was confronted by the advanced techniques of the game. After watching Taka's 11k Ganon video, his dream was to achieve such a high score; that's probably where it all started. The next summer, he got his first gasp of outside competition at La Ronde where he lost badly, however, he was determined to get better.

In spring 2004, pkmvodka met up with chesterr01 and Testrider at a smashfest only to later find out that Testrider was the guy that crushed him in the summer of 2003. From that point, he started to get exponentially better, meeting with various other players from around Montréal. He quickly became one of the best player in the city and after a few meetings, chesterr01 and they gradually became training.

In August 2005, pkmvodka went out for his first out of state tournament, in Toronto, Ontario. Accompanied by chesterr01, they fought many veteran smashers known from the community like MetaKnight0, jv3x3 and sprocket. Pkmvodka got 5th place in the tournament, bested by jv3x3 in winners bracket and chesterr01 in losers. At that moment, he realized how travelling and tournament presence is important to evolve.

The Present

In December 2005, pkmvodka attended No Mercy vs the World, which was Montreal's first real tournament. That was also the beginning of the crew "No Mercy feat. pkmvodka". He got 1st in singles, 4th in doubles (Teaming with a friend, that was a casual player at that time) and 1st in crews. That was the beginning of his winning streak; pkm then went to get first in singles for 3 tournaments in a row.

In August 2006, pkmvodka went to his first American tournament, 0C2: Zero Challenge, in California, accompanied by chesterr01 and Vwins. He got 25th in singles, out of 192 entrants. He was defeated by SOS in winners bracket, and ManaCloud in losers. [1]

Pkmvodka is currently a member of the 'No Mercy feat. pkmvodka' crew.
