The Raptor Boost is Captain Falcon's forward B attack. It dodges many projectiles (not a fully charged Charge Shot) and some attacks, and pops opponents up in the air for quick combos, but is easily punished and has terrible priority (mainly because the hitbox comes out so late). Often hits characters out of rolls, sidesteps, and techs.
This attack is useful for tech chasing, due to its duration and range. Additionally, it can be comboed directly into Falcon's knee to achieve KOs relatively easily.
Also, the Raptor Boost will send Falcon into helpless mode so if a player does not distance himself from the edge of the stage, the Boost has a chance of netting the player a self-destruct.
In SSBB, the Raptor Boost has been given an additional effect when it's used in midair and connects with an opponent; the impact causes Falcon to leapfrog over the opponent, allowing him to keep some of his horizontal momentum. The attack also sweetspots the ledge of the stage. Also, because of the harder to sweetspot knee in melee, falcon's forward b is used a lot more often to ko because of its new properties. In Japan, this move is called Falcon Knuckle, keeping in line with all of Falcon's other specials. Template:Captain Falcon Special Moves
