Classic mode is similar to the one player mode in Super Smash Bros. However, it has more variation and a random factor to it since most of the characters and stages are chosen at random. Completing Classic Mode will earn you a trophy replica of your character (classic trophy).
- Standard one on one match.
- Two on two match (the player is given a random ally to help them complete the match)
- Break the targets bonus stage.
- Standard one on one match.
- Three on one match (the opponent is a giant and the player is given two random allies to help them complete the match).
- Snag the trophies bonus stage.
- Standard one on one match.
- Ten on one match (the player is alone against a team of ten lightweight fighters that are easy to KO).
- Race to the finish bonus stage.
- Standard one on one match against a random metal character. This match always takes place on the Battlefield.
- Master Hand battle on the Final Destination.
