Counter Throw is one of the three down special moves for the Mii Brawler in Super Smash Bros. Ultimate.

Overview

The move functions as a counterattack, hence the name. When used, the Brawler takes a defensive stance with its hands covering its face, similarly to Little Mac when he uses Slip Counter. If not hit, the Brawler goes through a small period of endlag, but if it is hit, a heartbeat line icon will appear above its head, similarly to most counterattacks, and the Brawler will proceed to grab the opponent and throw them behind it. However, the opponent must be within close range the Brawler to be grabbed; attacks from below soft platforms will fail to be countered. Counter Throw can also fail against moves with disjointed hitboxes (such as Bayonetta's Smash Attacks and Bullet Arts), moves with long range (such as Corrin, Mii Gunner, and Simon and Richter's Forward Smashes), and projectiles.
