Spirits are collectible items introduced in Super Smash Bros. Ultimate, replacing collectible trophies from past games. Like trophies, Spirits represent various characters, items, and other elements from the many games released by Nintendo and other franchises. They can be equipped to fighters to grant stat boosts and secondary abilities, similar to both stickers and equipment in Super Smash Bros. Brawl and Super Smash Bros. 4, respectively.
