Uppercut (アッパー, Upper) is a special move used by Simon Belmont and Richter Belmont. The user ascends while slashing with their dagger.
Origin
This move is based on the High Jump ability which was introduced to the Castlevania series in Symphony of the Night. In that game, after Alucard obtains the Gravity Boots, he can perform this maneuver with the inputs ↓, ↑ + [JUMP]. When playing in Richter Mode, Richter can perform this without obtaining the relic. It can be performed multiple times in the air.
