The Skill parameter has been removed from Smasher infoboxes, and in its place are the new "Best historical ranking" and "Best tournament result" parameters. SmashWiki needs help adding these new parameters to Smasher infoboxes, refer to the guidelines here for what should be included in these new parameters. |
When adding results to Smasher pages, include each tournament's entrant number in addition to the player's placement, and use the {{Trn}} template with the matching game specified. Please also fix old results on Smasher pages that do not abide to this standard. Refer to our Smasher article guidelines to see how results tables should be formatted. |

Bayonetta (ベヨネッタ, Bayonetta) is a playable character in Super Smash Bros. Ultimate. She was confirmed as a playable character on June 12th, 2018.
Changes from Super Smash Bros. 4
Aesthetics
As with all veterans returning from SSB4, Bayonetta's model features a more subdued color scheme.
Love is Blue and Scarborough Fair have louder sound effects to distinguish the two.
Bayonetta's taunts are sped up.
Aerial Attacks
Held neutral aerial appears to have increased landing lag.
Forward aerial's knockback appears to have been altered. This means that the first hit of it can no longer combo into After Burner Kick.
Down aerial's knockback appears to have been lowered.
Special moves
Bullet Climax's charge can no longer be cancelled by shielding, rolling, or air dodging.
If the first hit of Heel Slide is blocked by a shield, she will be unable to use the second hit.
Downwards After Burner Kick can no longer be autocancelled.
Witch Twist has increased startup.
Witch Time no longer grants intangibility when used, and its effect duration has been significantly lowered. It also has increased ending lag and cannot be interrupted as early.
The screen turns dark whenever someone is affected by Witch Time.
Throws/other attacks
Bayonetta's hand now grabs characters using a form of umbran magic, as seen via a slightly updated animation where she swings her hand around, which is sparkling with a noticeable umbran purple.
Alternate costumes
