Greninja (ゲッコウガ, Gekkouga) is a playable character in Super Smash Bros. Ultimate. It was confirmed on June 12th, 2018.
Changes from Super Smash Bros. 4
Aesthetics
As with all veterans returning from SSB4, Greninja's model features a slightly more subdued color scheme. Its model and textures otherwise appear unchanged.
As with most fighters, Greninja's attacks have enhanced particle effects.
Special moves
Water Shuriken is much smaller when fully charged.
Shadow Sneak has a new animation when used. The attacking part of the move is a forward kick instead. Additionally, the shadow's "eyes" flash when Greninja teleports.
Substitute has more vibrant particles when activated.
Substitute activates faster, allowing for an easier hit.
