Pokémon Trainer is a playable character in Super Smash Bros. Ultimate. They were confirmed as playable on June 12th, 2018.
Changes from Super Smash Bros. Brawl
The Stamina mechanic is gone, and every Pokémon can stay out indefinitely now.
Pokémon Change can now be used in the air, and is much quicker.
Squirtle appears to have a new dash animation that involves riding a water wave.
Aesthetics
Leaf, the female Pokémon Trainer from FireRed/LeafGreen, makes her first appearance as an alternate costume.
