Summary

My name is Archrelico, although I'm known as Mexi to my friends. I've played the Super Smash Bros. series ever since I first stumbled upon the messy Super Smash Flash fangame and Super Smash Bros. 64 on the Project64 emulator, before getting myself a Wii and playing Super Smash Bros. Brawl like a casual (completely with Wiimote-only Subspace Emissary).

Currently, I play Super Smash Bros. 3DS (getting my circle pad and wrist to deathbed in the process). Although I'm not a competitive player (except my Shulk, who never stops being fun to play), I enjoy the series immensely especially since I am a huge Nintendo fan.

Wiki Goals

Ever since joining the wiki after the release of both Smash 4 games, my main goals on the wiki have been simple.

  • Update Smash 4 character pages to include changes that have been noticed or proven (have to be accurate, of course, and will be only added after testing from myself), including but not limited to damage percentage, differences from Brawl, and trivia,
  • Give descriptions to each move a character has in their moveset list,
  • Test the character's special moves and give their matching pages updates that give smashers more information to both use and counter it,
  • Add information for custom moves as they are currently lacking in both descriptions and uses,
  • Write down character Attribute summaries that give readers an easier time to understand each fighter's strengths and weaknesses, and...
  • Editing any small errors or missing information that I happen to pass by.

Basically, I focus on editing Moves, Special Moves, Trivia and Errors.

Currently, I am a major contributor of the Shulk and Little Mac main/special move pages, and also an editor for the movesets of Roy, Marth/Lucina and some others whenever i find new techniques for moves.

    Mains and Reasonings

My outlook on maining a character is all about Whether you are passionate enough to represent a fighter, and are willing to learn how to master them, no matter what their flaws are. As such, I tend to play a lot of perceived and unrepresented low-tiers, just to eventually realize their true potential. Plus, a really good low-tier is more impressive to me than yet another good high-tier player.

Why I played a lot of...

    Super Smash Bros. BrawlLink

    • I played a lot of Zelda in the past, so he felt real "cool" to me. Plus, he was the only relatable swordsman in the game that I knew.
      • Yes, I realized he sucked. But I was a guy who played Brawl with a Wiimote, so...

Super Smash Bros. for Nintendo 3DS Shulk

    • I have no idea why he of all characters clicked naturally with me, but playing him was all I needed to know. It introduced me to Xenoblade as well, and I'm extremely thankful for that.
    • His range is ridiculous. Yes, he can't autocancel and is as sluggish as molasses, but the sheer reach of his moves is enough to make me happy.
      • His weaknesses also give me a better understanding on tomahawking and being patient. Shulk is so unique to play as.
    • Monado Arts let me tailor my playstyle how I want. Ever fought a campy Shield Art Shulk? Yeah.
    • MALLC. It's great that this was discovered after I was so intrigued by the character, it got me so sucked into Shulk's technicalities.

Super Smash Bros. for Nintendo 3DS Little Mac

    • Fastest frame data on the ground and excellent out-of-shield game, really tests your opponent's competence. This is especially since the stigma of Little Mac is "hah, he's so easy to deal with"... trust me, a Mac who knows what he's doing is frightening.
    • KO confirms and setups for KO Uppercut. Done well, a fresh stock is gone in an instant.
    • Always nice to shock people with Little Mac's second-highest wall jump and a perfectly done recovery, even if its bullcrap.
    • Jolt Haymaker/back aerial stage spikes.

Super Smash Bros. for Nintendo 3DS Roy

    • As much as he's still viewed negatively, I really like his dominance once he gets in. It's unsafe, but such a show to watch. Still wish he had a better recovery and lower endlag, though.
    • Landing up aerial is so much fun.
