BassMage is a player that wants to keep his advantage state for as long as possible with Jigglypuff as he consistently looks for ways to get the opponent offstage. For example, he uses forward throw since the base knockback is high so he can set up for an edgeguard and using Jigglypuff's threatening presence offstage and strong edgeguarding capabilities. Besides looking for edgeguards, BassMage is known for his setups into rest using Jigglypuff's down air to start combos and loops and using up air and pound for confirms into rest. This alone makes BassMage a threat to face both on and offstage.
