==Origin==
''Super Diffusion Beam'' is a complete Smash original, having no equivalent in ''{{s|nintendowiki|Gyromite}}'' or ''{{s|nintendowiki|Stack-Up}}'', the only two games that are compatible with R.O.B. The Beam aspect of the move is very loosely adapted from the {{iw|wikipedia|Optoelectronic}} technology used by R.O.B. and the ''{{s|nintendowiki|Zapper}}'' to communicate with games.
