| Similarly to his daughter {{SSBU|Lucina}}, Chrom lacks the sourspot hitboxes that {{SSBU|Roy}} and {{SSBU|Marth}} do allowing for consistent damage through all of his attacks. Although this means that he cannot kill as early as Roy can with his sweetspots, he also doesn't have to worry about landing sourspots making him more consistent at killing. Chrom also has a different up special called [[Soaring Slash]] in a similar manner to {{SSBU|Ike}}'s aether. Although it has significantly better vertical distance, it has little to no horizontal distance which worsens its versatility compared to {{SSBU|Roy}}'s blazer. It can also be used as a suicide kill (However, this was nerfed in patch 2.0.0 since Chrom now dies before his opponent does).
