He may seem all kickass and stuff but he is simply another pointless "I come and I'll be a clone of this other character in the series" guy just to extend the number of characters in a series similar to Waluigi, who is just simply put bad. Wario is one of my favorite Nintendo characters since I feel like he's fun and humorous to have around. Plus he even remains quite successful and popular for a weirdo by even starting his own series. I have an excessively long list of reasons for Shadow, whereas I have none in particular for Wario. Also, to respond to Monsieur Crow about his Anti-shadow rant, Shadow is a great character because he is a tragic hero with a tragic past, present, and future. This makes one feel with the character and sympathize with him. Wario does not fit this bill. While Wario has a past, it is not extensive whatsoever; he has virtually no purpose in affecting the story. He is simply a character that Nintendo uses to laugh at with sick, childish humor, while Shadow is much more of a tragic hero. I also love taking people who keep picking FD or SV over and over to here, and then watching them fumble around with no idea of what to do. Plus, it's actually a great stage for many lower tier characters, especially Ganon and Bowser, while countering many higher tier characters, especially Snake and ICs. It's very effective when used sparringly, as it will then often catch a chasing opponent off guard and finish them off before they can react.
