Pikachu preparing to fight the Kirby Team in SSB

The Kirby Team is a team that is made up of Kirby clones that appear in the single player mode of Super Smash Bros. and Adventure Mode of Super Smash Bros. Melee.

In Super Smash Bros., the player battles a total of eight Kirbys on the Dream Land stage. The Kirby team in SSB consists of Kirbys that already have the character's abilities (or a Copy Ability). The Kirby team in SSB are also lighter, making them easier to KO. Defeating the Kirbys in the order they appear (respecting the characters' order in the character select screen) results in achieving the Kirby Ranks bonus. The final Kirby faced will either be a secret character (among those unlocked) or a plain Kirby.

The Kirby Team in Melee.

Likewise, the Kirby team in Melee consists of 15 Kirbys that come with a random character ability from among the currently unlocked characters. From 1P Game in Super Smash Bros. they return as an opponent character on Adventure Mode in Super Smash Bros. Melee. If the player defeats the Kirby team in Melee under thirty seconds, they will have the chance to fight Giant Kirby. On Classic Mode, the Kirby Team is a possible multi-character opponent on Stage 8 (however, there are 10 instead of 8 or 15); but none of them possess a Copy Ability. Event 28: Puffballs Unite! also features the Kirby Team, but with only 14 of them and four appearing at a time.

In Super Smash Bros. Brawl and Super Smash Bros. for 3DS, the Kirby Team appear a possible opponent (despite their frequent appearances in the first two installments) fought on stage 5 of both Classic Modes; but again, none will possess a Copy Ability (like in Melee).
