Peach Bomber (ピーチボンバー, Peach Bomber) is Princess Peach's side special move. She lunges her rear towards her opponents after a stationary twirl and blasts them with a powerful explosion. In Super Smash Bros. Melee, the explosion has fire effects, but in Brawl and Smash 4, it is filled with hearts.
Using the Peach Bomber on most walls in the game will cause Peach to rise upward a tad. This can help with recovery on stages with vertical walls, such as Yoshi's Story and Fourside. The technique can also be used to stall a match, as Peach can continue to bomb the walls, keeping her alive and out of range from most other characters who would be KO'd if they were to try to go and attack her. Use of the technique in this fashion is banned in most tournaments.
In Super Smash Bros. Brawl, it has been altered visually to have a heart-shaped explosion when the attack connects, rather than a normal explosion. This version of the attack covers more distance than in Melee. Also, it can no longer be used to bomb walls for vertical height gain. However, if a wall is destructible, such as those in Shadow Moses Island, Peach can still rise a tad upward. There is also more start-up lag. It can be used for recovery since it covers horizontal distance in both games.
In Super Smash Bros. 4, the move has a faster start-up than in both previous games, as Peach executes the attack almost immediately without twirling first. It can also hit shields. However, it only deals 10% damage (rather than 15% in Brawl), and has much more end lag, limiting its recovery potential.
Customization
Special Move customization was added in Super Smash Bros. 4. These are the variations:
1. Peach Bomber | 2. Flower Bomber | 3. Flying Peach Bomber |
---|---|---|
"Jump sideways and deliver a powerful hip bash." | "A hip bash that plants flowers on enemies' heads. If you miss, you're left open to attacks." | "Rise into the air and deliver a hip bash. Harder to land, but it's more powerful." |
- Peach Bomber: Default.
- Flower Bomber: Peach travels a short distance, delivering a hip bump that adds a flower ailment to the opponent upon contact. If Peach misses, the move has significant end lag, and leaves Peach vulnerable to attack. Additionally, the hip bump itself deals much less damage than the default version. However, the start up is faster than Peach Bomber. Can be chained up to four hits at low percentage depending on DI. More useful for shield pressure and has the potential to break opponent's shield if she uses this move more than three times against shielding opponents.
- Flying Peach Bomber: Travels farther and higher, but has large end lag if it doesn't connect, especially in the air. When it does connect, the impact causes a large explosion that has large knockback and damage. Since it travels slightly higher, it can be used as a means to recover, however the end lag of the move proves to be detrimental, as it causes Peach to fall downward significantly, and can lead to a self-destruct. However, it has almost no ending lag if she lands on the stage. This customization adds fire effects and damage, similar to it's Melee counterpart.

Trivia
- Despite the description in Brawl's manual, the move is not boosted by Explosives Attack stickers; instead it is boosted by Body Attack stickers.
- By using only this move alone, it is possible to defeat Petey Piranha without ever getting hit or touching the ground (aside from when the battle starts).
