Mario reaches out with one hand. Mario's grab has below average range, but is among the fastest grabs in the game, while also having relatively quick interruptibility compared to the rest (with only Jigglypuff, Pikachu and Sheik's grabs having faster interruptibility). Coupled with Mario's highly rewarding throws, this makes his grab extremely prominent in competitive play.
