Pokémon (Japanese: ポケモン, Pokemon, IPA: [ˈpoʊ.keɪ.mɑn]) are creatures that inhabit the Pokémon universe. The name is a derived form of pocket monsters. They can be captured into Poke Balls and used to the will of the capturer, which is what Pokémon Trainer has done.
