Focus Attack (セービングアタック, Saving Attack) is Ryu's down special in Super Smash Bros. 4. It is an attack with significant flinch resistance (like Rock Smash). It can also make the opponent going in a crumped state when fully charged.
Origin
This attack originates from Street Fighter IV. Every fighter has a special Focus Attack that when fully charged, stuns the opponent for a short time and is powerful.
The fighter is also given super armor for the duration of the charge-up, and if attacked any received "Damage" will be healed later.
