Press Start was a national tournament held at UC Irvine, featuring popular PC games such as League of Legends and Dota 2 as well as singles and doubles for Super Smash Bros. Melee.
Numerous upsets occured during the event's Melee pools, such as Jace defeating SFAT and HugS defeating Leffen.
Mango, Hax and S2J, who were carpooling, arrived 45 minutes late for the tournament bracket and were disqualified from their first round matches against A Rookie, Reason and Tafokints respectively. Nonetheless, Mango proceeded to win the tournament via the losers' bracket, only losing games to Hax, Lucky and Axe.
Notably, none of The Five Gods made it to the top 8 of the winners' bracket, and Leffen did not make top 8 at all.
