Mango 1v1 Hungrybox & Mew2King
|
Press Start was a national tournament held at UC Irvine, featuring popular PC games such as League of Legends and Dota 2 as well as singles and doubles for Super Smash Bros. Melee. The events pools had numerous upsets such as Jace upsetting SFAT and HugS upsetting Leffen. This events bracket was rather interesting because Mango who was carpooling with Hax and S2J and they arrived at the tournament 45 minutes late resulting in a DQ from the first round of winners bracket for all three of them. Resulting in Mango losing to A Rookie, Hax losing to a relatively obscure smasher named Reason and S2J losing to Tafokints. This resulted in the latest edition of "tryhard Mango" since EVO 2013 running over: Jace, Westballz, Hax, Leffen, Shroomed, Lucky, Hungrybox, Axe and Fly Amanita for two sets. Of all of those sets Mango only lost a game to Hax, Lucky and Axe. The tournament was also notable in that none of The Five Gods and Leffen made it to the winner's side of Top 8 and Leffen not at all.
