Biography

RaynEX has been playing Super Smash Bros. Melee since its release; having first used his main, Fox, playing Super Smash Bros. 64, for the Nintendo 64 console.

The first incarnation of the TransCanada Tournament (2005) was where RaynEX was initially introduced to the competitive scene. Amazed at the amount of players that attended, and the skill level so apparent among them; RaynEX quickly decided to pursue a competitive career in Super Smash Bros. Melee.

Soonafter, at a tournament held in 2005, RaynEX befriended the 5 members of NNR (The Neon Night Riders). The members of NNR had held the tournament to informally announce their competitive participation to the community, attracting players from far and wide to gather and cooperatively improve at the provided venue. Eventually RaynEX, and his doubles partner Ryan Ford, joined the 5 smashers under that same crew apellation, solidifying what would turn out to be one of the most skilled and successful Smash crews ever conceived within Toronto.

Present

RaynEX continues to smash competitively, attending tournaments held in both the U.S. and East Coast Canada. He is considered by many as one of the best Fox players in the country. RaynEX is currently ranked 3rd on the Ontario Melee Power Rankings.

He started the "Canadian Arcadian" tournament series with KirbyKaze in April 2014, a tournament series for unranked players only. He continues to organize and aid new smashers in the Greater Toronto Area.
