Hula-Hoop is the Wii Fit Trainer's up special move in Super Smash Bros. 4.

Overview

When used, it causes Wii Fit Trainer to rise quickly into the air. The hula hoops cause slight damage to opponents who touch them. Wii Fit Trainer can move slightly to the left or right during this move.

Customization

An icon for denoting incomplete things.

Customization was introduced in Super Smash Bros. 4. The two variations are:

  1. Jumbo Hoop: Jumps into the air with bigger hoops. These hoops have a wider reach and inflict more damage at the loss of vertical recovery.
  2. Hoop Hurricane: Adds a pull effect while rising, and then knocks opponents upwards with the hoops at the end of the attack.

Origin

The move is based on one of the many fitness games found within Wii Fit. In the game, players stand atop the Wii Balance Board and roll their hips, causing their Mii to spin a Hula Hoop. As the game continues, more hoops are added.
