Why so much hate on the 3ds version
It is actually better than the wii u, with three new exclusive game modes. I think the wii u one will be an sverage game despite more initial promotion than the 3ds version. It's a thing though with cross console games. Exactly what happened with Mario and Sonic at the Olympic games. The wii one was more promoted, but the ds had more gameplay modes and all.
