The Wii Fit Trainers, known in their games as Male/Female Trainer, are characters from the Wii and Wii U games Wii Fit, Wii Fit Plus, and Wii Fit U. In the games, they instruct the player during fitness exercises by posing in a way that the player then has to mimick, and telling them what to do. The Wii Fit Trainers appear as playable characters in Super Smash Bros. 4.

The female Wii Fit Trainer was confirmed to be playable in Super Smash Bros. 4 on the 11th of June, 2013, at the E3 2013, shortly after the trailer was shown.
The male Wii Fit Trainer was confirmed to appear on the game on the 31st of October, 2013, the day the trial version of Wii Fit U was released and was later confirmed as an alternate costume in the Super Smash Bros. Direct presentation. The Wii Fit Trainer was shown on the starting roster in the Super Smash Bros. For 3DS demo.
