*The Power Meter is modeled after the same meter in the arcade game, right down to the design. Just like in ''Super Smash Bros. 4'', filling it lets you perform a powerful punch. However, in the arcade game, you lost meter if you got hit, you could use the punch multiple times, and the punch could be performed as both a body blow and an uppercut.

The Power Meter (K.O.ゲージ, K.O. Gauge) is a special mechanic used by Little Mac in Super Smash Bros. 4, shown above his damage meter. It can be filled if Little Mac takes or deals damage. Once the bar is full, the bar becomes a flashing "K.O." sign, causing his neutral special move, the Straight Lunge, to be replaced with a powerful uppercut with the potential for a one-hit KO.

The meter is emptied when the one-hit KO move version is used, successfully or not. The meter will also be emptied if Little Mac is KO'd or it is allowed to stay at the flashing K.O. stage for too long. The meter disappears during the time Little Mac is under the effects of Giga Mac.

When Little Mac is inhaled by Kirby, Kirby copies Straight Lunge but not the KO Uppercut, thus Kirby does not copy the Power Meter.
