The player one online glitch is a glitch in Super Smash Bros. Brawl's Wi-Fi mode. It is hard to perform by accident, although it can be performed easily with proper communication between players. However, the glitch is no longer possible, due to the removal of Nintendo Wi-Fi from the game.
Performing the glitch
A player logs onto Wi-Fi and starts a Basic Brawl. He or she then joins a group of three (including player one), then hopes two players log out, and almost under a second later two others log in.
The result
The first player will become player three (creating an empty space) and one of the online players will become player one, making the light-red online status box. Another notable point is that the time turns to 84/5 and when the time runs out, all players will be forced to leave. Also, some players might not be able to move during the fight.
