Reception
ESA was extremly well received by almost every smasher attending it, due to its excellent organization. Most players who attended it consider it as the best European tournament ever. This extreme popularity explains its sequel in February 2008, Epita Smash Arena 2, reaching 231 entrants, making it the largest Melee tournament ever hosted in Europe. There were also three more sequels hosted later, albeit they didn't have nearly as many entrants.
