The Skill parameter has been removed from Smasher infoboxes, and in its place are the new "Best historical ranking" and "Best tournament result" parameters. SmashWiki needs help adding these new parameters to Smasher infoboxes, refer to the guidelines here for what should be included in these new parameters. |
When adding results to Smasher pages, include each tournament's entrant number in addition to the player's placement, and use the {{Trn}} template with the matching game specified. Please also fix old results on Smasher pages that do not abide to this standard. Refer to our Smasher article guidelines to see how results tables should be formatted. |

To commemorate the release of Super Smash Bros. 4, and the Super Smash Bros. series as a whole, Nintendo has announced an invitational tournament being hosted during E3 2014, at the NOKIA Theatre in Los Angeles, California.
- The game played will be Super Smash Bros. for Wii U.
- 16 "highly skilled" players will be invited to participate.
- The tournament will have 3,000 in-person spectators with costumed fans receiving priority seating,[1] and there will be a live stream of it with commentators.
- A video contest is currently in progress, the winner of which will be awarded a VIP trip to the event and have the opportunity to play one of the tournament winners.
- The host of the event will be Geoff Keighley.[2]
