The PAL tier list is a tier list for Super Smash Bros. Melee that applies to the PAL region and incorporates its gameplay changes.
In both tier lists, the top row of characters represents those who are considered tournament viable, while the second row of characters represents those better suited for low tier tournaments.
Current PAL tier list
The second, and current, PAL Melee tier list was released on March 26, 2010 on the European Competitive Discussion subforum on SmashBoards, and was created by taking tier lists submitted by 33 of the top smashers from PAL countries and calculating each character's average position overall.

Previous PAL tier list
Even though many people felt that the PAL region should have its own tier list, it wasn't until February 2007 that a selection of European and Australian top players voted on the official PAL tier list. The project was started and supervised by Dutch smasher Marc.
