Though he had participated in many tournaments in Japan, such as the Numabura series, his first tournament win was at Apex 2012, the largest Brawl tournament of all time. In singles, he didn't drop a set, defeating ESAM 2-0, Ally 3-0, Nairo 3-2, and Nietono 3-1. He also won doubles with his twin brother Kakera, defeating Mew2King and Anti 3-2 in both winners' finals and grand finals.
