A recent revert to this template ([http://www.ssbwiki.com/index.php?title=Template:Change&diff=871948&oldid=871887 diff]) removed the alt text from the image, and linked the image to its description page. This results in MediaWiki generating confusing default alt text ("Notice dot p-n-g" instead of "Change"). It also results in overlinking, requiring many Tab key presses to navigate change lists by keyboard. | |||
The editor making this revert stated that accessibility efforts are not worthwhile on SmashWiki, and directed further discussion to this talk page. I can understand accessibility being a low priority, but I'm not sure how that justifies the additional step of a revert to keep the wiki less accessible. So should the "changes from game-game" sections for character articles be changed into lists using that use the change, buff, and nerf templates? Scr7

Missing alt text and overlinking
A recent revert to this template (diff) removed the alt text from the image, and linked the image to its description page. This results in MediaWiki generating confusing default alt text ("Notice dot p-n-g" instead of "Change"). It also results in overlinking, requiring many Tab key presses to navigate change lists by keyboard.
The editor making this revert stated that accessibility efforts are not worthwhile on SmashWiki, and directed further discussion to this talk page.
