Gimpyfish, sometimes just called Gimpy, is a retired American smasher known primarily for being one of the few notable Bowser professionals in Melee. Gimpyfish was known for refusing to be called by his real name at tournaments; he requested that all players call him "Gimpy" or an acceptable variant.
In Melee
Gimpyfish remains infamous for his notoriously high skill with bottom tiered character Bowser. Although there were many claims that Gimpyfish would be among the best of Melee players if he used a higher tier character, he stayed true to his Bowser, and instead chose to elevate Bowser to extremely high levels of play. Additionally, Gimpyfish focused less on technical skill and instead put more emphasis on mindgames and similar tactics. Gimpyfish was ranked 7th on the Washington Power Rankings before he moved to Southern California.
He made several Bowser combo videos, the last being "Gimpyfish: The Movie (aka Boozer Cute 2)", and his most famous being Boozer Cute.
At the beginning of 2009, Gimpyfish made a series of videos entitled "Super Smash Bros. Metagame". The series showed the respective metagame of each Melee character, compiled from years of gameplay.
In Brawl
Prior to the release of Brawl, Gimpyfish attended E For All to play the demo of the game; the thread, which can still be found on the forums, remains one of the most replied to and visited threads in the history of the SWF.

Trivia
- Gimpyfish won over 8 awards for SWF's Forum Awards 2007. Such awards include Forum Monkey, Best Signature, Friendliest Member, Most Helpful, Best Forum Gamer, Most Valuable, Sexiest Mod, and Most Gregarious. He also was the runner-up for several categories as well: Dr. Smash, Smash Practitioner, Best Cinematographer, and Host with the Most. Many of his victories did not make sense (much like maining Bowser), but nevertheless he won (like with Bowser). [1]
