Ryo is an American smasher from the Atlantic South region of Gainesville, Florida. He is considered the best Ike in the United States, on par with San. While some consider him to be the best Ike in the world (as San is currently inactive in the community), this has yet to be solidly proven on an international scale. He is ranked 3rd on the Florida Power Rankings. Ryo is popular in the Florida community and is well-liked by everyone who knows him.
Originally playing Roy before Brawl came out, Ryo moved from Melee to Brawl and took up Ike when he learned that Roy was not on the roster. Ike's Uair has been affectionately nicknamed the Ryo-copter after Ryo himself, as he has scored many impressive KOs using it in matches.
