With Friends is one of 2 multiplayer options on Wi-Fi in Brawl, the other being With Anyone. In the With Friends mode, the player can only play with friends that they know the friend code of and have registered on their friend roster. Unlike With Anyone, records are actually kept and names will be seen. Opponents will be able to see the player's icon and comments about themselves before battle. The number of ways the player can play is also much more expansive.
